You just saved yourself some money for a comparable product. You can justify spending the money for a particular caliber in a "Custom Rifle" I suppose, but current offerings on the market really can't be beat and make more economic sense. People like Kimber and now Ruger with the Precision Rifle pretty much have made "custom" rifles about obsolete at this point in my opinion. A guy with $1500 in his pocket can play ball with any of them. Lightweight, long range, whatever flavor you are looking for.
Why spend 3-4k to get the same end product?
That Nosler is every bit as custom as some rifles costing 2x that. I have one in .260. It is a tack driver.
Coming from a guy who has owned several high end factory rifles and now I have a custom that I had built they are not the same. Not even close....
