 Special thanks to DW for allowing my son "barbwire" to redeem himself and take his first deer. He had gotten cold and we walked to the other side of the field to warm up in the sun. As we got about 75 yards from the wood line he spots a deer and takes a shot. Long story short is the deer was on the wrong side of the fence this time and no strand of barbwire could save him. Glad to see it Mike. That's what it's all about

 [/URL]  [/URL  [/URL] WRHC near Billingsley, AL hosted 6 youths this weekend for the big hunt. Alex (13) got his first deer Sat pm, this 8pt, using Benjamin's (13) LH 7mm-08. Blood trailing duties were expertly handled by Daniel (10)! Our other hunters were Jarod (13), Ryan (10), and Wilson (9). Everyone saw deer and had an awesome time. Special thanks to our members for putting up with the shenanigans, including hunting, hiking, UTV riding, squirrel hunting, pistol and BB shooting, cooking, eating, stomping, snoring, and ballgame watching. Alex's mom is concerned that deer meat AND a furry head are coming to her house. If you can't tell, we had a BALL! Congrats Alex and thanks ALDEER.

We were blessed with a great hunt Friday afternoon. Haley made an excellent shot on this buck at about 75 yards. Couldn't be prouder of her. It is truly a blessing to be able to spend time in the outdoors with the kids. Memories are made that will last a life time.
