In 40 years of hunting have seen 2 that would go over 200", one of them way over, didnt get either one of them.

200 inches or 200 pounds? You've seen 200"+ deer in Alabama?

200" is 200 inches.....

Alive a clean 10 about 20 yrs ago close to Mudcreek he would have been 170 ish easy. I watched him lay down for 45 minutes at 75 yds and get up and walk off.

Alive? Probably 145" wasnt hunting though.

Saw a 140+ 8pt on 79 above the state line at Skyline one morning in mid November. Huge body to. Easily well over 200lb

Scored a Winston co deer that went 175

Scored a lauderdale co deer that was 164

Put my hands on one from Dekalb that had he matched would have been like 184.

The biggest one I've seen on the hoof is the deer below. I killed him on January 21, 2005 at 4:25pm. He and 2 other bucks were chasing a doe. I field dressed him and couldn't drag him by myself. I slept down in that deep rough hollow with him that night so the coyotes didn't get him. My buddy came up to hunt the next morning and helped me get him out. 10 point. Field dressed 256 lbs. Scored 161 2/8. 2 days later I killed one of the 8 ptrs. that was with him and it was a good buck too. [img:center]http:// [/img]

I saw, and missed three times, a huge non-typical buck in Greene Co in 1985 er so that would of pushed 200"....

I have hunted deer close to 20 years and the largest I have seen or killed might score 110" or less. Where I hunt, people don't kill many big ones. You are lucky to see anything at all.

I saw one on some property we now own but did not at the time standing about 80 yds off the rd one morning. It is the only time I have said well I am shooting that one from the road. I even turned around and wentertainment back. Drove back by and he was gone. I would bet he was 160 and was about 50 yards from our property line.

Largest I have seen and put my hands on from Alabama was a 162 inch deer killed in Macon County about 13 years ago by a guy hunting with us.

Biggest I have killed is 140 2/8 9 point I killed in 2003 in Blount County. I wish he had not busted one of his brow points off.

Largest I ever held was a 9 pt 174 5/8. Killed by an old timer who killed a pile of big ones like that. He refused to pay the money to put them in the books but was a straight up killer. Stan was his name and he was from up around walker counter.

hell, I had a witness saw me miss. Dang buck was 150 yards and bouncing ten feet up with every leap. I figgered he's flatten out and run and I'd kill him. He didn't and neither did I.

Daggum man, a 174" 9 pt. is a freaking stud!

The biggest buck I've ever seen on the hoof was on the Woodley Spur Road. It was a small stretch of road that separated Woodley Road and 231. Back in the 80's, it used to be legal to spotlight at night up until 10pm as long as you didn't have a weapon in the vehicle. When I was a kid, my dad and I would ride around and look at deer in and around Montgomery. It was January and the rut in South Alabama was wide open, so we had already seen several hundred deer that night including some really nice bucks. We were slow rolling down the road and drove up on an old shack that had an 8 - 10 acre bean field beside it. I grabbed the light and shined it across the field, and didn't see nothing. He stopped the truck and I swept across it again and there was a doe standing in the middle of the field that wasn't there the first time I went across it (she was bedded down). Then I see this deer stand up beside her and my eyes about popped out of my head. He was a little too far to count points so I can't tell you how many points he had. However he was sporting the tallest and widest rack I have ever seen to this day. His antlers came up out of his head and turned straight out. He was standing broadside and it looked like they didn't curve around until almost at his rump. That deer had to be 30+ inches wide and he had really tall tines which made him tall as well. We sat there watching that buck for 30-40 seconds, and he just lowered his head and slinked off into the swamp beside the bean field. My dad looked at me and said "Son I hope you took a good long hard look at that one because you will never see another one that big in your lifetime". So far he's been right.

I saw a buck at the Bass Pro exit in Leeds a few years back that was palmated, with a ton of points. Had to have been pushing 170, and I'm no expert in scoring deer.

I'll tell you another killer from Walker county. Paul that works in the archery dept at Pat's in Jasper has a couple of 160 inch deer on the wall in the store he's killed.
