Perhaps this has been hashed out on here before, but I'm just curious what folks' thoughts are bow hunting & taking the shot from a standing vs. sitting position... And then, why you've made the choice to choose one or the other... Or do you use both techniques?

I shoot standing since I practice standing. If I wanted to shoot sitting I'd practice sitting. I prefer standing

I practice and feel comfortable with both. However I prefer sitting. I just think it takes the legs out of the shot and seems more stable to me.

I prefer standing, for the sole reason that it makes adjusting on a target that often moves quicker, easier and with less overall movement.
When you're shooting at a block or 3d target, it ain't going anywhere. So you can sit down, get set and take your shot.
Live deer move. As soon as you get set and are ready to take a shot, that deer may move several feet requiring you to turn or adjust to make the shot. Lot easier to do that if you're standing vs sitting, especially when the deer is on your release hand side instead of your bow hand side (in my personal opinion, of course)

I prefer to shoot standing but I have shot several deer sitting down as well. For me, if I have an opportunity to stand and shoot that would be my preferred position. But there have been times when I would have spooked a deer if I tried to stand so I would take a shot seated. It just depends on the moment, but I do practice both ways.

I practice and feel comfortable with both. However I prefer sitting. I just think it takes the legs out of the shot and seems more stable to me. Winner. I position my stands, when I can, so I can make a sitting shot to the most likely approach.

Most of the time I shoot standing but will shoot while sitting if I have to. And then there are times when you just have to shoot laying down.
