I want to bore a 30-06 up to a 35 Whelen. Any gunsmith in south central AL you guys would recommend? You would be better off buying a 35 cal barrel and having one of the smiths listed aboce chamber and mount it. I am sure somebody somewhere could re-bore, rifle it, and re-chamber it,, but you would be going around the world to convert your rifle to a whelen.
