The one thing nobody ever considers is that on a given tract of land, only a small percentage of it is actually "huntable". LIke what turkey247 said above, there aren't 40 spots to have to yourself on 4000 acres.
Simple illustration is this: 3 of us used to lease 650 acres, and even then we'd pressure the snot out of it. Of that 650, I'd guess 75% of that land was short pines or other impenetrable/unseeable/unhuntable type cover. You had to hunt the roadbeds, fields, or few other places open enough to see. By the end of season each year we had ruined that place. One more person would have been impossible. And this was a block of land that was CRAWLING with deer, primo Chambers Co stuff where you'd see 25 does in one set during bow season on good acorn trees.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.
