In the wild not in a pen lol. Curious to hear what some of you guys have seen. My uncle killed a 148 inch 8 point about 8 miles south of Guntersville in 2011 that weighed 270 live weight. Everyone thought it was a northern deer that had escaped from Dream Ranch, but it was checked out and confirmed to be a southern whitetail. 6 1/2 years old if I'm not mistaken. Biggest deer I've ever seen by far.

Was riding dirt roads on an 8000acre parcel in Demopolis one night, belonging to a very prominent man in the state whose name I cannot mention. Saw a deer who was at least 6" outside his ears and pushing 160"-170". Almost brought a tear to my eye.

Good friend of mine killed a 138" 12 point about 12-15 years ago. We went to way it (gutted) and the scales bottomed out past 250lbs! Don't know what it weighed. It's neck at the smallest place behind the ears was 29". By far the biggest deer body wise I've ever seen.

saw a buck in Camden one day that weighed 287 live weight, it had a 15 point rack that made the body look small.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Biggest I ever saw still makes my brain hurt.It jumped the paved road in front of my son and me.We were dropping off the mountain in Grant while headed to Gurley. It was right below D.A.R school. The deer was so big that it was able to easily clear a two lane highway w/o even ever touching pavement.I had to pull over on the side of the road and think about what I had just seen.My son looked over at me and asked daddy is that what an Elk looks like.lol

Biggest I've ever seen was a massive 8 pt just south of the Hwy 147 and 431 junction in Chambers County. He was crossing the road in front of me, but turned and ran down the lane straight away for about 100 yds before cutting back into the ditch. He was average width, but very tall with long tines and incredible mass.

Saw a 160"+ on sehoy plantation hunting on a friends lease never got a shot of course. At 300 yards the horn were just enormous. I know a guy that has a 185" mounted that he killed on pea river. Missed a 150" on last day a while back in Fitzpatrick.

Saw one over 170" not while hunting.

I've seen several big dead ones here in Bama. Saw one that was grossed at 173" killed illegally at the Anniston Army Depot in the early 90's. Saw a 156 with double drop tines killed at Pelham Range about 5 years ago. Saw another from PR killed last year that was about 160-170 (+,-). I think BigGameHunter scored it?? Not real sure about body weights. I killed a 9pt at the Anniston Army Depot when I was a teenager that was 183 lbs dressed (on digital scales). That's probably the biggest bodied Alabama deer I've been around. Killed a 7 pt not far from Daniel White's place about 10 years ago that was 170 lbs dressed (for what it's worth, we weighed him on the big drive-on scales at the recycling center I used to work by). If you use the 25% rule, that would put their live weights around 245 and 230 respectively. Biggest deer I've ever seen PERSONALLY while hunting was probably in the 150"-160" range. I can recall at least 5 deer over the years that I'm 100% confident would be within 5" of 150" (+,-). I watched a deer for an hour with my bow about 3 years ago that I guessed to be 150", clean 10 except one split brow. Turns out I'm not the only one to see him, there was even trail pics from the resident biologist, he said the deer was MINIMUM 150". Deer was apparently a celebrity. Don't remember the score, but my friend in the orange hat killed this one about 15 years ago in Alabama (running dogs). Here's that 156" w/ double drops We scored this bottom rack at nearly 140"

We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

Around 1969 the game manager for Mr. Jeff Sorrell at Saco, north of Troy, killed a 310 pound 10 point one morning. They weighed him on the cotton scales.

When I was 15-16 I missed a giant behind my dads house.. Literally shot every round I had. Next day my neighbor killed him in front of some house dogs. I'd say high 40s or low 50s.

I found a shed on a dog drive in 1993 in Chambers county that had 15 points on one side. I never found the other side, and rodents had chewed a good bit of the side I found. This deer would have gone way, way, over 170, if the other side was close. I wish I still had it, or could find a picture of it.

7yo main frame 8pt that field dressed 240lbs. Deer had 3 3-4 in kickers off bases. Gross scored 188 I believe. Smallest circumference measurement was 7inches. Killed in Tuscaloosa county about 12yrs ago.
Wish it was hunting season.....year round

The most points is 21 1" or longer. The widest and largest frame was a 8 point with a 28 1/4" spread. The heaviest was between 280 - 290lbs. This is the biggest I have had my hands on in the past three years. And no I didn't kill it.
