One thing I have learned to do over the years is to not stare at a deer. That is one of my big things now, I think they have a sixth sense about that and I'll not stare at one, just put my head down and listen for them to start walking and try and judge their mood my their footsteps. You all may think I'm crazy, but I've had many a deer peg me and not many have ever bolted when I do as I stated above. Quit staring at them. this exactly
