Bucks starting to cruise here at our place in Illinois. Got a few shots of this young guy few minutes ago and saw another young 8 chasing does. 5 pt just came by following another doe   Good pictures right there, just give a few buck fever!

Struck out this morning. It was fun getting out there, but I got sweaty on the way in, and by the time I was up in my stand, I was freezing. I need a new jacket or something, wind was cutting straight through it.
I'll probably go out this evening next to my house. Have seen lots of fawns moving the past couple days, hope I see a mom.

Finally back in the stand. Sitting on a cut corn field/food plot hoping the deer have been laid up in the pine thicket to the west of me and are getting hungry now that the rain has moved out.

St. Clair county..... Almost puked just now. Had a 150in buck that haven't seen since September bedded 5 feet from my stand this afternoon... Made the long hike around so I wouldn't blow my wind over this point in case deer were bedded there. Everything's going great. Step 5 feet off the field and start to grab my pull up rope and he busts out the bushes 5 feet away. all I could do was watch and hope he tripped over a corn stalk and broke his legs so I could chase him down and stick him.
