Any tips on ways to prevent and stop leaks in camper would be appreciated. Im sure a lot of yall have experience with this. Brands of sealant or other successful ways any of you have found to work.

Thanks

Will the camper ever be moved or does it always sit in one place? I used a product called liquid roof and that stuff was great. If the camper stays at a hunting camp I would just use the cheap stuff from lowes.

Just staying at hunting camp. I got a new lease this year and found a great deal on old camper from a buddy. It had been sitting underneath a shed for the past 10 years and I never thought about it leaking. I opened up the door yesterday and looked like somebody dumped a 55 gallon drum of water in it.

I would build a little shed that it can sit under to protect it from the elements some.

If it's stationary, just put a tarp over it or one of those metal carpets.

What type of roof is it? rubber or metal?

What's the roof made of? The metal roof needs a seam sealer product there's dicor and eternabond tape that is awesome. If fiberglass or epdm use proflex.

And check the holes like air vents a/c hole fridge vent all likely culprits of a leak.

We are using the used vinyl roadside billboards some as big as 35'x14' A guy in my club gets them from Lamar sign for 30$. We Built a skeleton frame roof and covered it with wire fence then covered that with vinyl and held down with felt nails.
