Settled in a ladder stand on a hardwood ridge. Oaks all around me raining acorns. Should be a good morning even though it's hot as all get out and I broke a sweat getting in the stand. Good luck to anybody else in the woods this morning!

Hunting Bankhead National Forest this morning. Set is the same as yesterday afternoon, in between a bluff an and cut over with white oaks raining down. Good luck y'all.

I'm trying the interstate stand this morning. Hopefully something comes through here. I'm beginning to get frustrated!

Set up just inside the wood line off of a food plot in range of a big red oak dropping acorns. Really hope Furflyin can hunker down and get a lot done at work today. grin

I'm setup on a greenfield this morning with hardwoods and a creek behind me.

Got off early this morning. So I decided to come sit on a greenfield running along a hardwood ridge. It's raining acorns right now. I had two does in the field when I walked in. Never blew or ran just kind of walked off.

In my climber right on a treeline between a cutover and pine thicket, not many acorn trees in sight but they have been wearin out this trail goin back n forth to bedding, may be wasting my time but 3 more hours of sleep just seemed realy boring!!!

Listening to acorns drop all around and hopefully they are louder than the sweat beads dropping from me....

Just had three does walk by that stayed in the thick stuff. Never had a shot. But that's three more than I've seen so far this season. Haha.

Sitting 23' up in a mixture of pines and oaks butting up against a 4 yr old cutover. Giving food plots a rest since youth hunt is coming up, nothing but a few squirrels and some geese over head so far.

Something to make you laugh..........

Got my Garmin Alpha unit yesterday. For those who don't know, it's a training shock collar for a dog. I got it all charged up and decided to try it out on myself first before starting to train Otis with it.....just so I would know what it was doing to him. It has different strengths of correction, or shock if you want to call it that, from 1-18. I turned everything to 1 and even double checked it. I’m still not sure what happened. Maybe when I turned the collar on and it came online it triggered some different presets or maybe I bumped the touch screen accidentally, not sure……but whatever in the hell happened…..I held it in my hand and hit myself with a 12 out of 18 right out of the gate. Let me just say….that’s startling when you’re expecting a 1 and sends a jolt all the way to your elbow. I quickly threw the damn thing down and my first thought was “Holy Chit!!! That’s a 1!!!!!” shocked

That's funny! Them shock collars make a dog listen good. I love mine.

Good luck everybody. I'm at work wearing shorts. I don't guess we're ever going to get some cold weather.
