I remeber those days. I used a big black pot, that was my great grandmothers. Was probably made in late 1800s . NOW I just take the lid of the 5 gallon bucket full of Formula 1 , stir , and dip and hang! grin

That just sounds too easy. Lol! I tried some in it last year and just didn't like the results. Mine were sticky after 7 days dry time.

Not too bad though. We started the fire at 12 today and have boiled 3 batches out. I think 90 steel traps and 3 dozen conibears. Probably gonna boil conibear A frames tomorrow and hot dip some snares while I'm waxing the steel traps.

I'm just kicked back watching the fire now drinking a cold beer!

Looking good Hank. I have a dozen coilsprings on the way with some dp's for yekrut and yekrut jr. I am ready to get them dyed, waxed and in the ground and start catching some fur.

I couldn't wait to start so I went ahead and put a few traps out last night. Got my first catch of the season.

Alright! Tomorrow is opening day. Who all is gonna be out and about laying steel tomorrow?

I'll be at work tomorrow and Sunday then start a shutdown Monday night. Unless something bad goes wrong I'll have a few sets in Monday.

I'm waiting on some cooler weather. This heat is ridiculous for November. Hank, are you still running on the commercial side or have you cut back?

Still commercial for what it's worth.

Cat and otter are the only things I'll skin for fur until the market gets stronger.

The coon meat market is still good.

I'm waiting for cooler weather to start water trapping for sure! Too many snakes and gators still out right now.
