Are youths still allowed to kill either sex on all gun hunts on WMAs? I do not see it listed on the Choccolocco permit. I do see this in the Regs though:
220-2-.55.216ER Wildlife Management Areas, Community
Hunting Areas, Public Hunting Areas, and
Refuges of Alabama
(gg) Nothing in this regulation prohibits issuing each youth under 16
years of age and/or properly licensed female an either sex deer
permit valid for that day of each gun stalk deer hunt

Do the kiddos need a special permit for the youth hunt? I've taken my son hunting before, but this will be the first time I've done it on a youth hunt.

Each WMA sets their own rules, at least that's how I understand it. If Choccolocco doesn't have it listed on their permit then it isn't allowed on that WMA. I'd say check the permit for the WMA you are hunting or planning on hunting. Choccolocco and a few others are mixing things up this year so be sure to read the regs before you hunt.
