Marshmud, they told me I could get in trouble with Monsanto for selling the soybean/corn mix. Next year, I plan on planting Non GMO seed.
Dennis, they weren't joking about that. I know a farmer that got hit for between $75,000-$150,000 for saving soybean seed and replanting it. That wasn't a rumor I heard, he told me the whole story, I just can't remember the dollar amount. Monsanto DON'T play with that RR stuff. I didn't think about that, but in all honesty the state and the aldeer snitch inadvertently may have saved you a fortune. Since this is a public website it wouldn't have been hard for Monsanto to find out you had sold the soybeans and corn so IMO, I'd look at it as a blessing in disguise.
