With the new set of binoculars I recently picked up the included case absolutely smells like chemicals/manufacturing.
I have twice liberally sprayed it with scent killer thinking that would neutralize the smell but that only slightly worked.
When the weather has been decent I have it hung up on the railing outside. Short of time any products or ways to get the smell gone?

I have considered a harness but was thinking that it might interfere with the antifall harness

Why the worry with the case smell? Do you take the case hunting with you? Not being a jackass just asking. Just use it to keep them protected while not using them and take them out to hunt. I wouldn't worry about the smell. I use the crooked horn harness on my binoculars and bought just a neoprene cover from cabelas to keep them from getting banged around with all my other hunting stuff.

It won't. It fits under your vest, or over your harness. I don't know if I even still have the case for my binos.

Sounds like a harness is the way to go then.

Nope, not at all. I wear mine under my fall protection harness and have zero issues.

I have heard there is some type of spray in a small thin can that folks that smoke pot use that sorta has a citrus smell that will mask any odor. I will look around in one of my kids room or vehicle and see if I can confirm the name of it.

Go with a harness. You'll love it.

It won't get in the way of your safety system.

Odocoileus was kind enough to give this to me today after class.
Took a bit of paracord and connected the ocular lens cap to the harness
