If any of you folks ever stop by the "Shotgun Sports & Outdoors" store on Hwy 431 in Anniston, walk next door to the Alfa Insurance office and introduce yourself to me (Jeff). I see hundreds of vehicles daily pull in and out of there, tags from all over, so I feel sure some of y'all go by here.

That place stays packed. I remember when it started out it was about the size of a walk in closet.

On Fridays that place is a nightmare!...can't even get in the parking lot. They do a big Labor Day tent sale every year....holy crap, they'll be lined down the side of the highway. Other day there was a big "Realtree" RV/Bus pulled over on the side of the road, had a buggy on a trailer behind it. I watched to see if it was a celebrity, but I didn't recognize the fellas.
They never intended to open a store... He was a gunsmith (I think) and I think what Richard told me is he wanted a license for something, but was required to have a "storefront". So that's how it all started.

Yep. Worked in Tdega from 2001 till 2012, then moved to Anniston. I've been wondering if "tfd" was for Tdega Fire Dept?

I drop some coin in that place last week. Had to slip Kenny some "hush up" money on the way out.
Some do, some don't....what's it gonna be?

Never been there. If I get out that way, I'll try to stop by a minute.

Been in there one time and loved it. Everyone was friendly and helpful and they had a great selection of products.
But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?

Arley that runs the bow counter had his own store somewhere around Montevallo (or in that Shelby Co neck of the woods) for a couple of years (maybe 2012-2013), some of the Bham gang might know him.

Shotguns proves that if you run a hunting store right it can be a goldmine They never will admit to any firm number, but I've heard they sell "hundreds" of guns a month. It ain't even 10:00 AM, and I'll bet I've seen 4 or 5 guns walk out of there already today. The parking lot is half full right now, middle of the week, nothing special. Wish I'd had the idea! LOL
