Been fishing the past two weekends, caught about 15 a day on top water. Lipless crank bait caught all the others. Had one 7 lb largemouth come off at the boat, biggest largemouth I've ever seen on smith. Still sick about it. My dad caught one back in 1975 near Bailey's Bridge that weighed a little over 9 1/2 lbs. the next morning after he caught it around 8 pm in the evening. Caught it on a black worm with a red tail that he had poured himself. I remember it well as I was 12 yrs old and the net man. First attempt I made, I missed the fish. Received a few harsh words. Second attempt was good and a great relief to me. My dad was shaking just like he had killed a big 10 point. That night is still a great memory of mine and I miss fishing with my dad.
