I would disagree with this statement ^^^^. You're DL from shooting fingers is different than shooting a release with a D loop. It's sometimes better to go down 1/2" in DL when shooting D loop.
I respectfully disagree with this statement...DL does not change with releases, D-loops, or anything else. Your Anchor Point will change, but not the DL.
There are numerous articles out there about how to determine proper DL. However, I don't want to hijack this thread. Apologies to the OP.
You're anchor point should remain the same, no matter what the stated draw length is, how long the d loop is, or what kind of release you're shooting. Some bows run long on stated draw length, some short. Some d loops are longer than others, etc. So, if you have a properly fitted bow, it is going to anchor in the same place, as say a mathews, that might have a 1/2" shorter stated draw length.
