Anyone hitting up the WMA for the special opportunity hunt? I'm staying at the campsite from Nov.11th through the 22nd. Come by and say hi to the guy in the Blue Tundra.

I'll be staying at the campground from Thursday to Saturday. I went yesterdAy and checked my camera and scouted a little. There are rubs and scrapes and walked up on two really nice bucks. One eight point and one really big ten. They were right down the ridge from my stand feeding together. Maybe I can stick one with my bow but if not I know where I will be sitting come the special hunt.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Which campground are you talking about? I spent the day down there last year looking around and all I saw was primitive is that right?

Ridgestalker you can stay at Corinth recreation area if you have a camper or primitive. its on the outskirts of the bankhead but its in a centralized location so you can get to any part of the wma in a timely manner. If you could talk the LEOs into letting you hang a stand at the campground you would be frying tenderloin for breakfast but good luck with that. It gets depressing sometimes when you see more deer at your campsite than you do hunting.

Sounds like your a head of me. I have been to BH 5 times and never seen anything that wasn't already dead. I normally hunt with a guy that's dealing with cancer so I don't venture to far off from him just in case he needs me. This time I'm on my own. So I will be very deep in. I just worry about getting one out. There is some rough stuff down there. GL on your hunt.

n2deer, I hear it's the perfect time to be there, we shall see and GL to you sir!

I'm hunting an area that is a mile and a half from the truck. Saw five last season on opening day and shot the fifth. He was a nine point. A deer cart is your best friend over there. Good luck to you.
