We (Bukfevr92 and myself) always talk about it during deer season. Last year we were on a good team (finished 2nd), and this year we are also on a team that actually hunts. We won't get started till gun season - so don't give up on us. I expect that we will be able to contribute, Good Lord willing.

I hunted Sunday morning and afternoon, which is probably more hunting than i have done in one day in years. Haha. I had a doe come by at first light Sunday, but needed it to take another two steps for a clear shot. Something spooked her and she eased off. I didn't see anything but 575 dozen squirrels that afternoon. Ill be headed back in a couple weeks and hope to have my bow kill.

Hunted the last 6 days straight and still haven't seen a racked deer. Found some fresh rubs and a good trail

I didn't even try it today bc of the rain... But I did get some news from one of my buddies that the deer are absolutely tearing up my greenfield over this past week since all the rain last week!!!(he checked it yesterday in the rain) he said you could tell where bucks had been fighting in it and run each other up and down the road to it... And damn if that don't get me excited!!! I try to stay away from my field and the whole area except for if it rains or the absolute perfect wind! It's no bow field... But come rifle season it's on!!!

If it doesn't cool off some, I may not even get my bow back out. No sense in stinking up my spots when conditions aren't right.

Well I've had some cameras out for the past 4 months and haven't had any luck on getting any nice shooter bucks on camera until this past week!! They just showed up and I'm more than ready to chase after the rest of the season, I hope they stick around close!

Planning to get back after them this Thur - Sat. Hunted with my son this past weekend and he killed his first deer.
Since we've got a couple does for the freezer, it will probably be bucks only from here on out.

Hunted the past 3 days and it was fairly slow. I did see a real nice 8 pt yesterday, but didn't present much of a shot and I didn't want to booger him up. At least I know where he lives now.

Shot another one friday morning but thought I missed. Looked for blood and the deer for over an hour. Never found any sign of a hit. Well the buzzards were roosted on the other side of the road this morning and I found him piled up in a briar patch. Never shoot any hornady american whiretail bullets they don't expand.

We've went a couple of times - we've seen deer, just not any that we'd pull the trigger yet.
