There are legal ramifications if you shoot a dog. Shooting one will cause problems with neighbors. As a landowner, club loses lease if I find out about it. Wild dogs are an entirely different matter but shooting pets, hunting dogs is a public relations disaster for the individual, club and the hunting community in general.
Much simpler to talk with the dog owners & resolve the matter peaceably.
Like I have said before. Its real easy for SOMEONE ELSE to sit back and say = O Just go find the owners and talk to them. When the owners my be miles away AND you have no way of knowing who's dogs they are. Most club members that are driving 20 miles plus ARE NOT going to take the time, and go look for a owner. If you choose to kill the dogs, then do it and keep quiet. As far as = legal ramifications. If you are on a 1500 acre lease with 15 people HOW IN THE WORLD are they going to know who killed the dogs???? The county aint going to guestion 15 different people AND take up 15 peoples guns and go all CSI on them anway!!!!!! I say = just kill the dogs and keep your mouth shut!!!
