I have one of those but still feel naked in the tree without my facemask on. I'll either hit a few strips of paint or put on a lightweight mask. I like the mask because I don't have to worry with washing it off when I get back but the paint is much more comfortable. As someone else said, do what you want...don't worry what other people do. Either paint or mask is better than nothing.
I definitely do if I'm bowhunting and facing the east in the morning or west in the evening
I HATE both of those scenarios but understand they are unavoidable sometimes. A hunt is not enjoyable to me if I'm constantly shielding my eyes and squinting the whole time. That's my number one focus when I place a stand. Most all of my stands are faced looking North so the sun will not play a major factor and be somewhere behind me during both morning and evening hunts.
