I think you may be right on that. For 8 years we've had to deny being racist because we disagree with B.O., and I think a lot of people are wetting their pants at the thought of being able to "prove they ain't racist" by voting for a different black man.

Do I think that is the sentiment of all Carson supporters? No. But I'd be willing to bet there are a bunch that fall in to that camp.


I don't know if it's that as much as Carson isn't a politician and people are sick of politicians. Of course, I think his lack of experience is starting to hurt him. I'd still vote for him, though. I'd vote for him because I know what his guiding principles are and I don't think he would betray them. I think he would do what he thought was right regardless of what was popular and I know he is a brilliant man capable of choosing other brilliant men to problem solve. He isn't my first choice and I'd like to see him a little more forceful but that just isn't his way. I still think he is a better choice than most other candidates other than Cruz.
