Drudge poll had Trump at 54% dominating with Fiorina coming in second with 20%.
I think the country is looking for a leader with balls that will tell the rest of the world how we're going to do things and if they don't like it to go f themselves. I know I'm one of them.

Sadly, this election will once again be about "likeability" in the end. Which is weird because I don't see Trump as likable at all, but many must I guess. Issues are great, but so many voters vote based on emotion and who stirs them to the polling booth.
I've always liked Huckabee, even though he has a record that is more moderate on certain issues and there are a couple things he believes in that I do not at all. He nailed some key points last night.
Rubio, came across well last night and made some really good points. But I know where he actually stands on some issues outside of speeches.
Christie....he's tough and talks a good game, but again, I know where he stands on the issues outside of a speech.
Carson....is just a really nice and honest man it seems...quiet, introspective, reserved which are fine qualities to have, but this election will be decided by emotional voters, not reason, so for him to rise up he has to take the gloves off and mix it up more.
Cruz is strong and honest and articulate and obviously a conservative constitutionalist, but he comes across rehearsed and stiff. Social media response polls likened him to a TV evangelist. I think that is just his style. He is spot on on so many issues that if the voters knew the issues, he'd fair much better.
Fiorina...nailed some points but she has zero shot. Paul..nailed some points but has zero shot. Kaisich....tried to nail some points but has zero shot. Trump...ever the entertainer with no real personal grasp of the issues other than business related issues. Walker...tried to be heard but just didn't get any traction. Is conservative and a fighter though, so he'll get better. Jeb Bush...Maybe he did good in Florida as Governor, but he just doesn't command the stage and he is too moderate for me.
Cruz, Carson, Rubio....those three vs. the Trump ---we'll see how it shakes out leading to the Oct 26 debate.

Drudge poll had Trump at 54% dominating Are Democrats part of the polling? How in the world could ANYONE watch that and think he should be our next president? I'm a Cruz fan....I believe and trust him, his delivery sucks. Rubio, Carly, and fat bastard stood out to me last night. I think a combination of Cruz/Rubio or Cruz/Carson would be my favorite choices. The problem is as people start dropping out, we will have 3 or 4 more conservative choices that are gonna divide the votes, and Bush will skate right on in there.

I think people are attracted to his "swagger". He's also the only one that hasn't had to make adjustments to his "persona". All the others that suddenly grew a set and became assertive, apparently just grew them last night.

Ol' Rand... stuck to the Constitution and fat boy just couldn't take it. Paul continues to point out the hypocrisy in the other candidates when they talk about what they want to do, as opposed to what they should do based off of the Constitution. We cant complain about the Democrats ignoring it if Republicans do the same. Dear Lord mercy YES!!!!!!! HippieKiller gets it!! The problem everybody (YES, even Republicans) have with Paul and Cruz (especially Paul) is twofold: 1. They are both extreme constitutionalists, especially Paul. For whatever reason (God help us) everybody is terrified or angered by the constitution. There ain't a candidate on the planet who could sniff the jock of Paul when it comes to the Constitution. I think he could recite it in entirety. 2. They both speak way over the head of our citizenry. The reason all the 'necks love Trump is because he's a low functioning speaker. He "talks" like they do. Don't matter what the Hell he's saying, it just sounds good. Paul and Cruz are WAAAAAAY to intelligent for the average Joe. When they speak it comes across to the low functioning like "politicians", but in reality it's extremely articulate and radically constitutional. Paul is the only one who gets that you cannot legislate morality--that is Libertarianism, it's what he IS!!!! Paul is NOT a Republican. The average low functioning American wants moral authoritarianism. THAT is what will get another Democrat elected too!!!! If you want Clinton in the White House, keep up your redneck support of Republican moral authority.

When Cruz says he gives me his word I actually beleive him. I don't beleive a dang word the rest of these guys say. Agree, he has a track record of leading the fight, in everything that he said he would fight for or against for the American people. Rubio on the other hand is a great speaker, he is saying all the right things, but often missed his votes so he didn't have to go on record, or take a stand on either side of some tuff issues. That is not what we need leading our country. He had several chances to stand up with Cruz against the establishment, and except on a few occasions was a no show. I want someone who we do what they say they will do! Tired of great speaches and sound bites. Trump is a narcisistic blow hard that is full of himself. Just like Obama he attacks anyone who disagrees with him by calling the names. Really? Is this what we need leading our country? We need someone who will fight with dignity and class and has a record of doing just that. I only see one on that stage who has done it consistantly...

If I just based my vote off what I've heard through the two debates, I'd vote for Christie or Rubio. Those two would have my vote based on what I've heard, with Fiorina coming in a close third. Unfortunately for all of them, they have extensive records that can be looked at that makes me know that I can never vote for them. I can't agrue with your assessment. Cruz needs to loosen up just a bit. I know I can believe him when he says something based on his record, but for everyone who hasn't done the research and is just listening to the most polished speaker and taking what their saying for the truth, I would have to agree with the 3 you mentioned as far as coming off the best last night. I wouldn't agree with Rubio and Christie as far as the first debate goes, but most folks have forgotten about that one by now. My prediction is that Trump and Carson will take a slight hit in the polls with Fiorina jumping the most followed by Rubio. Walker and Christie could take a slight bump as well. My concern is that Cruz may drop after last night. Everything he said had substance, but he was all but ignored for most of the night. In the future he will have to fight and be assertive to get some attention up there.

Based on what I know about the candidates, and what they have done in the past; Cruz hands down, no one else is even close. Rubio blew it when he worked with the Dems on that amnesty bill. Trump is for Trump and that's it. He is using the same tactics that Obama used when running. His short little responses for how he would fix things have no substance, and his own admittance that he does not understand everything pertaining to foreign policy "but will by the time he is in office" doesn't cut it in my eyes. The fact that Trump has used the Eminent Domain law to build his wealth doesn't sit well with me either. Carson would be a good choice but his lack of experience in the variety of things that will come up as president leads me to think that he would have been a good VP if not for his Sharpton comment.

I think CNN did a much better job than Fox. Unlike the three Fox journalists, they didn't try to inject themselves personally into the debate as if it was all about themselves vs the candidates. Also they didn't have a bunch of loaded bs gotcha questions the way Fox did, and they did not conduct the debate as a debated between themselves and the candidates. So I give the Communist News Network and thumbs up for professionalism. I think Firoina did very well for herself. So did Rubia and Cruz and Carson. Trump got hammered - and exposed. Edit: I don't think it's gonna really matter at this point. Hell is opening up and the End is Near.

I am a firm supporter of Cruz. What scares me is what someone mentioned earlier that Cruz sometimes talks over your average uninformed voter. I think a lot of the people that are loving Trump would actually be in Cruz's corner of they were just slightly more informed. I also agree that he needs to work on his delivery so as not to come across as a televangelist. I just want someone to hold the office that will stand up to these Islamic pigs and call a red barn red. I was liking Carson or Carly as a running mate until Carson's affiliation with the race baiter Sharpton and his 2nd amendment wavering came to light and Carly's past "business" issues. I haven't completely thrown Carly out because I do like her fire and delivery. She also shares my beliefs on how to handle Russia. I just pray that Cruz manages to come out on top in the end. Our country is in desperate need of leadership and I so badly want to see this country flourish and regain our position of strength. Not only strength on the world stage, but strength morally. I want us to be again a country of hard working, tough as nails people. I am 27 years old and my generation desperately needs direction and a strong leader is desperately needed.

Bobby Jindal. I guess he dropped in the polls and was in the earlier debate. I was leaning to Carson, but he doesn't have the fire you like to see in a president.

Don't believe the nonsense about Carson affiliation with Sharpton. He has also corrected his statement on the 2nd ammendment he made 8 years ago. As for Fiorina, she is a dyed in the wool liberal that knows what to say to sound conservative. She has a record of being in the liberal side of every issue for over a decade. I'm steadfastly in Cruz corner but I'm wavering a little on Carson. I'd still vote for him if he were the nominee because I know he is honest and would try to do the right thing for the country. Carson isn't schooled in politics and he comes off as soft but I know he is smart enough to put the right people around him to do the job. As of right now, I can't support or vote for any other candidates.

Stupid debate which I expected of liberal CNN. Lack of control by moderators. Most candidates acted like a bunch of kids fighting in junior high. Very unprofessional & not presidential. Not voting for a CEO or Doctor. Rubio looked good but he Should have stayed in Senate. Christie looked good but don't trust him with Second Amendment. Bush was above average and decent governor who lacks the fire he had when he ran for governor. Someone needs to light a fire under Jeb and motivate him or campaign will fail. In the end my vote will come down to who I dislike the least and who can beat the liberal Democrats. None of them have proved worthy yet. All I know is a bunch of them need to stop acting like children or drop out.

Im ready to vote for anyone BUT a politician...and so are over 60% of people from all the polls. Can you name 10..just ten..HONEST politicians?? You need look no further then our own state with that POS Bentley. Ran on no new taxes...and what did we just get? New taxes!!! Politicians are professional liars. No thanks..Ive had my fill. The only politician I like in this group is Cruz...as he is not the norm. And the very last thing we need is Jeb Bush.

Where do you get I wouldn't vote for anyone but a politician. I didn't say I was supporting Jeb, Ted, Marco, chris or any other politician in the debate. Made comments about debate but never said I was for anyone politician or not. Pretty clear if you bothered to read which you obviously didn't. All I said was Bush campaign was lacking fire like he had in the old days as governor. Definitely not Jeb! My closing comment and whole point of my post was "None of them have proved worthy yet." That's how I feel from what I've seen so far. None of them have earned my vote yet. I never said I supported any politician. I guess when I said I wouldn't vote for a doctor or a CEO I should have added politician even though clearly implied by the not worthy yet comment and acting like kids. Take a chill pill. And you're right there aren't any honest politicians. No reason to get pissed at me. I didn't raise your taxes and aren't a politician either.
