Stereotypes exist because enough of a given population proves them true.
To me the stereotypical pitbull owner is a whitetrash or ghetto thug with something to prove and usually that isnt far from the truth.

so your common sense tells you that media is more believable and trusted source of info, than a test designed to test the temperment of a dog.

sterotypes also exist because of ignorant people.

Yes Goodman there was another dog in that story. It was a Cocker Spaniel but it left before the hammer came down..... No pun intended.


I don't know what special credentials you have to have but I'm 41 years old and there's never been a day in my life where I haven't owned at least two dogs. Right now I have 4 labs and one is pregnant. So yeah I know a thing or two about dogs. I know those worthless Pitts are dangerous and bad news.

Yea bc last time you told that story it was different. But thats beside the point. Well at least your a dog owner, so you got that going for you. But that doesnt give you any insight to knowing about pits. The funny part is. Labs are the closest dog to pits there is.(my opinion). And Ive owned/own both. Except labs chew more. And are slightly easier to potty train. And labs are a little bit nastier animal. Pits are as loveing if not more loveing than labs. Thats why you cant chain them up. Due to there desire for affection. I bring that up because you kentioned your co-worker earlier.

Im gonna end on that note because it defeats the purpose. And because au7mm08 has spoken and apparently he is some kind of physcological profiler that is also knowledgeable in animal and human behavior, that also is a criminal charector marker specialist or a dumbass, in which case i can argue with niether.

Since you asked a legitamate question. I'll respond. Take the author of this article. He's trying to get hits. There was other things that were wrong in his article. Like about the last rights. But there selling papers. You put a headline with pits, it plays into the fear of folks and boom folks click on it. 90% of a "sale" is emotion. Be it it fear, anger, joy whatever.

Now, ya'll know that no one knows how to identify a Pit. It's just racist to call them Pits unless we get a blood test and a pedigree.

Thats right clark. So was you abke to positvely identify the breed of dog from that video. Looked like bulldogs to me, could of been pits. But whose worried about facts when you can sell fear.

What we need to do is find out what viscous breed is masquerading as the Pit Bull attacking and killing people.

We should eradicate that breed off the face of the earth, not only for killing people, but for fooling people to believe it is the gentle Pit Bull.

Next time a pit bull looking dog comes on my property I'm going to have a DNA analysis done to see what it is. Problem to the pit looking dog is that I'm going to obtain the sample after a load of 00 buck.

Since you called me a liar. Other than leaving out the the part about the Cocker Spaniel to save myself some typing the stories were the same.

If you really want the details, they jumped on my little sister who was 11 at the time. The Spaniel bit her on the tip of her nose and barely broke the skin. The Pit bit her on the face and caused her to have 8 stitches inside her nostril and 12 stitches on the inside of her bottom lip. The Spaniel ran when I kicked him but the Pit kept attacking. My sister had long red hair at the time and luckily he had her by the hair at that point. He had her hair in his mouth pulling it like he was playing tug of war. That's when I ran and got the hammer. I hit him once right between the eyes as hard as I could and he let go and staggered back and then went down to his knees. The second blow put his lights out for good.

Interestingly enough the second Pit also had to do with my sister as well. Her neighbor kept a Pit chained in the yard. My sisters place is pretty big so the neighbors live a little ways down the road. She called me one afternoon and told me that my niece Madison went to check the mail and the Pit came running up the road dragging it's chain. It ran up to her and growled and showed it's teeth and she froze. My sis has a couple of German Shepherds and they ran out and the Pit turned it's attention to them allowing Madison to slip back in the house. She had a talk with the neighbors and called the police to document it. The police officer told her if it showed back up in their yard and acted aggressive to shoot it and gave her a business card to call him if it happened. About a month later she called me and said that Pit was back in her yard jumping on her dogs. I rode over and shot that damn dog right in the face with my .45.

Problem solved.
