The offense didn't play well at all but I don't have a problem with the way the defense played, for the most part. The receivers weren't uncovered. As a matter of fact most times the defender was all over them. Jax St QB and receivers just made a bunch of great plays. Not much you can do about those. AU was lucky to come out of that game with a win. If they would have stuck to the run instead of trying to get Johnson some practice they would have been fine instead of almost losing. Poor preparation and poor QB play were the issues, in my opinion.
I agree. If the offense cant sustain drives and stay on the field, the defense is going to suffer and surrender the yards. Football 101.
