My daughter says she's ready to kill one this year. So, I cleared out a spot behind the house for her to sit. I didn't want to make it too large, so she could have a easier shot. I plan on expanding it in the spring. I planted it with Plotspike Forage feast. Here's what I started with. I grabbed the best help Popsicles can buy And we got to work. View from the blind.

Good deal. I hope you are both rewarded for your efforts. Reaping the reward of hard work will be a lesson she'll carry for life.

Looks good! I've got 2 plots in the woods very similar to that. You will need to blow the leaves off a few times through out the season to ensure sun is reaching your plot.

That's just plain awesome all the way around! Nothing better than spending time with your kids outdoors and seeing the fruits of your labor. Wishing you and your daughter much success this season!
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

Thanks for the kind words. If I can just keep her awake during a hunt I'll count it as a win.
This is land has been in my family for over 50+ years. Hopefully this helps instill a love for the land and a sense of ownership. It's already there a good bit. When we catch trespassers I think she gets madder than me! Haha

good looking plot and daughter, good luck.
When my daughter and I caught two poachers when she was that age she told one of them she couldn't believe he was so slow....haha
my youngest used to make me let her tell they were under arrest...

A little update. The plot seems to be doing fairly well. Not too bad for one made with an axe, loppers, and a rake. Haha. Also, Daddy left the seed on the porch and someone decided to make their own food plot in the flower bed. Mama doesn't think it's funny but I think I'm going to leave it for now. Haha

LOOKING GOOD. HOPE SHE GETS HER ONE
WHEN THE LEAVES GET FALLING GOOD TAKE A RAKE OR BLOWER IN THERE AND CLEAN THE PLOT. THE BLOWER WONT AFFECT THE DEER THAT MUCH
