I hate them way worse than you do! I got them on my lower legs last turkey season. I didn't have any signs of a bulls eye rash that typical with Lyme disease, but low and behold about three to four weeks later I started having bad fatigue and about two weeks after that my sinuses stopped up and started having tingling in my fingers and toes. Tingling and numbing started in lower legs and arms! I had over 23 symptoms two months after being eaten up
By these little shits.... Long story short, I spent two months (July-August) bedridden and could barely walk!! My knees swelled up and I had body and muscle aches out the kazoo! I now laugh at the flu because this was 50 times worse! 13 doctors later of most of them not believing I had all these symptoms, I finally went to see a cardiologist for heart palpitations! I'm fearing for my life at this point and even went as far as telling my wife to take care of our kids when I'm gone frown. I literally knew I was gonna die. My cardiologist said everything was fine as far as his tests went but there was a red flag to him when I handed him my list of symptoms and he noticed on that list I had two big oval rashes that appeared on my shoulder and back. He looked at the rashes and put 2 and 2 together and he looked me square in the eyes and said "Son you have Lyme disease"! Finally! By the grace of God a doctor diagnosed me correctly !! smile. Nine months worth of 8 different antibiotics, a no sugar diet and three visits to a Tunica , MS Lyme specialist I am proud to say I'm 100% again. I am currently still on an herbal protocol and have been symptom free for approximately 7 weeks! I tell my story in case any of you are taking ticks lightly. I felt like I was hit by a Mack truck! Please take every precaution you can and get these seed ticks off within 2 hours because that's all the time they need to transmit the bacteria into your blood stream! The larger ticks take up to 24 hours to transmit. God bless and guys be careful out there. These little bugs are no joking matter as my cousin spent over a month in ICU in Jackson , MS and nearly died of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Wes Nile! Yes he had both and doctors in the south are not versed and some don't even believe in these sicknesses! If you ever suspect you have symptoms such as arthritis or fibromyalgia please get tested for Lyme. You have to get tested through Igenex labs out of California as not all tests are accurate. This test is most accurate but still only a 50/50 chance of getting a positive result when you are actually infected. Dr Timothy Callaghan in Tunica MS is your man if you need help for treatment. He's closest Lyme specialist around!
