I have narrowed my search down to two guns and want y'alls opinions on which is a better weapon. Both fit me fine and I shoot them comfortably. Both are priced about the same, I just don't know much about pistol manufacturers and reputations and dependability.
Option 1: Smith and Wesson MP Shield 9mm
Option 2: Glock 43 9mm
What says Aldeer?

S&W just because I love S&W's and own several.

Glock all the way, bombproof and point/shoot better under stress.

If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

Glock 17 here. A little large and harder to conceal, but I trust my life with it-Literally. Nothing wrong with your choices but the 17 is my go to in times of need.

What says Aldeer? If you don't about Glock's reputation then you aren't qualified to carry one I've got a shield and glocks, they have all been 100% reliable. But if I could only keep one, the S&W would be finding a new home. However- if the lack of a manual safety on the Glock scares you, then by all means pack the S&W.

I have shot and handled many pistols and have owned a S and W for years. This will be my first cc. I just don't have a bunch of pistols like lots of people here do, does one have jamming problems or a strange recoil that harms its reputation, that is what I meant by dependability and reputation. The s and W has a no manual safety model as well. I liked it better than the one with the safety

I'm not a glock fan personally but both are solid choices

Between the two you listed, I'd go with the Glock (based soley on Glocks reputation).
Jesus... I hope you know Him personally like I do.

I'm a Glock guy but I know that there are other pistols just as dependable. That's the key. You want it to go BANG when you need it. I like the reputation of the Glock

If needed. At least it isn't a spray.
