Now a days, the jap guns are generally worth more then a Belgian gun. Mainly cause they are considered safe by browning to shoot steal shot.
Sorry, not buying what yer selling here. I don't think Jap are worth more, but I've read the steel thing elsewhere. That's for folks that want to use an A-5 for water fowling I suppose. Which is a small percentage of A-5 owners I'd guess. I find a 95% or NIB Belgium and a Jap same condition for same $ , I'll buy the Belgium every time. I would too. Wonder what the percentage of A-5 in Duck blinds is? I have a hard time believing the A-5 Jap, steel shot guns are driving the market, they have NO collector value. Since when did it become cool to shoot those kickin' beasts again? I'm with you dogs. My A5's aren't going in a duck blind and I'll bet there are very few in any duck blind. I'll take a Belgium over a Japanese every time and there may or may not be a dime of difference in the two. I learned to shoot with an A5. I took my favorite (ribbed 28" barrel) out of the safe and dove hunted with it last season. I can tell you at the end of the day my shoulder was a lot more sore than it normally is after hunting with my 390. It was worth it though. Lots of memories with that gun. Shoots great. Even though its much heavier and has more recoil I can shoot it as good as anything I've got. Dustin I hate to hear about the theft of your heirloom. Mine are all heirlooms and will always be. Baseball bat to the knees seems a little light to me. Maybe that plus a boot up the arse. I hate a dang thief.
