Checked the sunflowers today... They could use a rain. I ran into a nice shower on my way to my Grandad's farm but nothing there. In his words "it'll rain before you quit wanting it to." and let the dog cool off in his pond for the ride back home. It's pretty miserable in south Alabama right now. and an early prospect Hope everyone is staying cool in this heat.

Looking great. My sunflowers are made thank goodness but corn. Now it's taken a turn for the worse in this heat.

I planted them just by broadcasting on the 4th of June. Previously i planted them in early May, but I had blackbirds by the thousands demolish them.

Cool I broadcasted a mix of sorghum, millet, and sunflowers about 3 weeks after you. The farms 2 hours away trying to figure when I want to go check it!

Update: Should Have a pretty good shoot if this cooler weather pushes a few more to us. Bushhogged about half of the corn and left the rest standing for a later date. The big tall tree is where I'll be with boiled peanuts and the tigers on the radio.
