You are at a crowded bar and a drunk woman pushed you and starts cussing you out for pushing her. She goes postal and punches you in the face with a closed fist. What do you do? I watched the video of the FSU guy and she was definitely the aggressor. I'll never say it's OK to punch a woman in the face with a closed fist, but do you just tuck your tail and walk away?
My best friend had a woman at a party punch him and give him a black eye. Her boyfriend was standing right there and was trying to hold her back. My friend looked at her boyfriend and told him she just F'ed him....KO'ed her boyfriend right there on the dance floor.

She balled up her fist and he grabbed her arm. She then tried to hit him with the other hand (again, it appears to me, to get him to back off), so he landed a right cross.

Looked like he was trying to get to the bar and she was trying to keep him from getting to the bar ... to me anyways. Still no excuse to punch her, but I don't think she was innocent.
No excuse for his actions,punching a bitch for getting your spot at the bar is not a good enough reason to put his hands on a woman,I'm sure it will be her fault in the end though
After watching the full video, this is the way I see it. He was the aggressor by pushing into and knocking into her and he did grab her first. She then did make a weak attempt at a punch. He should have then just said, "I've got too much to lose" and just walk away. Instead the football player mentality coupled with the thug life mentality took over and he said, "I can punch this bitch and show her who is boss and nothing will happen". He deserves any and all punishment he gets.
Lost also in the debate is the fact that he is underage and should not have been in there anyways.
Besides, if you can't put a girl down with a clean punch to the face, I don't want your weak ass on my football team. Maybe they need to suit her up, she took it like a man.

I agree that the best thing he could've done was just walked away, that hitting her was a crap decision, and I agree with FSU giving him the boot for being an idiot.
....That said...from what I can tell she was being the aggressor. The bar is crowded as hell and she appears to purposely cut him off when he tries to step to her left. Bumping into and brushing passed folks is constant and unavoidable in a place like that. He didn't hit her for "getting his spot at the bar ", he hit her for cocking back like she would punch him and barking at him like a moron when he stepped by her.
Again, he screwed up...no doubt...but I find it really difficult to feel sorry for the girl. If a guy had acted the way she did ya'll would all be talking about how he got his. Drunkenness is gasoline to the fire of stupidity
Can't tell what the initial offense was. A possibility is that he snuck in a quick inappropriate goose (or she thought he did) when he squeezed by her and that is why she turned to face him. I can't see or think of anything else that would cause her to react that way. Only the two of them know what really happened to cause the confrontation. Regardless, it is not cool to punch a girl. Why are these exact same kind of incidents happening with regularity with FSU football players?
Something happened around the 7 second mark that made her look back to figure out who this guy was tight up against her. Then something happened to make her spin around (14 second mark), put a forearm on his chest and ball up her fist and run her mouth at him. What that something was, I'm not sure, but it appears that she takes offense at him bumping into her. Maybe he was trying to force his way to the bar and she'd had enough, or was intoxicated and lost her sense of patience. Who knows.
So when she stood up to him, he grabbed her arm and pushed her back enough to bang into the guy next to her in the glasses (18 second mark). She has her leg up too, trying to push him off of her...i'm not a lip reader, but it looks like she is saying "Hey Hey!" ...then a reques to let go of her arm. He didn't...so she threw a very soft punch. BAM..he ended that confrontation.
What I notice is at the 23secnd mark, he's punching her. At the 25 second mark, he is long gone. He knew he wasn't in the right, so he bolted.
Guy was the aggressor. He was the one behind her doing something that made her spin around. He grabbed her arm and shoved her back. He wouldn't let go. Girl didn't help herself though either by mouthing off and throwing a punch herself...but when someone will not let you go--it is understandable. Guy lost control and rocked her face. His fault.

I see him grab her arm and hair at around the 16 - 18 second mark. You see her head come forward with his arm movement..then she swings DEFENSIVELY ..like: ..hey let go of my freakin hair..
where he hits her with a very lame right cross. Then hauls on out of there.
