Hogs and deer frequently inhabit the same areas. I do know of a large chunk of riverswamp where the hog numbers have been brought down drastically and it seems to have a positive affect on the local deer herd. There are other herd dynamics that may be part of this equation, most importantly being increased age class. This area seems to be producing much larger deer than it ever has, but there has been a combination of positive herd management activities in which extreme hog number reduction has been one of those variables.
