Found this guy on a shelf in my grandfathers old shop in Selma while I was removing pictures off the wall. Needless to say I had to go outside for a few minutes after I saw him. It got the old ticker going for sure. It is every bit of 3.5- 4" long. I think it is a variety of wolf spider but not sure. [img:left]http://  [/img] [img:left]http://  [/img]

I think that's what used to be in my Grandpas boat house. There were a ton of those dudes around, but I don't ever remember one bothering anyone.

Yeah he just sat there all afternoon till I was done. When I would walk out and come back in he would be in a different spot. I never saw him move though.

When I would walk out and come back in he would be in a different spot. I never saw him move though. That's how they like it. You don't see them move. We have a lot of wolf spiders that size at our house. Took me several years to get over that. If you plan to swat 'em you better have good aim or they'll come after you. I nearly tore the house apart one night trying to kill one of those suckers that I missed & was sure was gonna kill me in return.
