Is there anywhere to fish around Helena besides the cahaba? I grew up fishing it and there's some good fishing in spots but I'm looking for a place to take my wife. She mainly likes to bream fish. Is there any ponds that sale yearly memberships in the area? I was in fosters farms in Marion but it's just to far to drive to bream fish since I've moved to Helena.

Joe Tucker park has a pond with some good fish in it. If you're just looking for bream I'd try there. There is also a membership place down in Calera but the name slips me right now. I can try to find out if you're interested.

Go to the pond in Old Cahaba neighborhood. I always see people fishing out there

I grew up in Hoover and fished every creek and pond I could walk to within a day, before I got my license then I just fished Bankhead. Lake crest on 150 is not a bad drive from y'all. Just park where there pool or clubhouse is right across from the chevron and walk to the lake. There are some really nice bass there I would catch 4-5 lb out there about 2-3 years after they built the lake. Know one ever gave me a hard time about fishing the lake and not living there.
