What kind of fish do you fish for there. I've never fished it before. What lures or bait does good.

Spanish mackerel
speckled trout
flounder
whiting
croaker
king mackerel
redfish
sheepshead
bait would be live shrimp, fresh dead shrimp, bubble rigs, mcdonalds straws (seriously), doa shrimp, berkley gulp baits, gotcha jigs, etc
all depends on where you'll be fishing. You can even catch bass and bream in lake shelby in the gulf state park

Solid post!! Everything you will need to know to catch fish down there. Also, if you are using your bass reel, make sure to rinse it well and oil it when you get home.

Well good tips but I forgot to say that I ain't goin till June so will it be about the same or a lot different You can catch something on live or gulp shrimp pretty much any time.

King bite will only get better. If you have a chance, fish the lights of boat docks and piers in little lagoon and around ono island. Throw a live shrimp into the current and let it drift back into the light and hold on.
