I've got some buddies that et everyone they catch. But they also eat pretty much anything.

Guess it would depend how hungry I was. I have never tried one. In a survival situation maybe.

I've eaten small ones when I was a kid and would bring home an assortment of panfish. Mom would cook them up with the bream and catfish. They were edible, just not as good as the others.

Edible, yes. Id throw them back versus a crappie or even bass, but they will keep you alive if you are starving.

I have ate them before. They are ok. We would keep small ones from the creeks and eat growing up.

Native Americans ate them all the time. They would smoke them or slow roast them. A lot of archaeologists often confuse drum-fish teeth with human infant tooth caps.
