Was the comb old and brown or still soft and yellow? If it was old and brown, google OTS queen making and try that. It makes a huge difference on queen quality and success. They can't chew down the old, dark comb and the queen cells don't get enlarged enough to make a good queen. Make several notches so you can cull or remove extra queen cells to make nucs.

Maybe they'll make 10 good cells and you can split them up into nucs. thumbup
