Just got back from taking my son hog hunting when the phone rings; my oldest son tells me that the place I drive for just blew up. Jump in the truck and head that way; sure enough you can see the smoke miles away.
One of the dryers blew up and the since there are NO full time fire dept's in Bibb Co. the fire spread to the containers that hold the cleaning solvent and blew up. One man known for sure was taken to the hospital, one man missing, and everyone else may be out of a job.

Yes it was Brent Industries, dryer blew out and the fire made it to the holding tanks, Two men are dead, one died at the burn center in Birmingham, the other; his brother who also worked at the plant found his legs.
I was called in to hook the semi-truck up to a burning trailer and pull it away from the plant, once there the idiot fireman wanted me to stay hooked to it. When the smoke started boiling out of the trailer by the fifth wheel I dropped the trailer and hauled butt. The plant is gone, collapsing in on itself when I left there about 30 minutes ago.
