I tried on a pair of Danner Steadfast snake boots yesterday. They were the best feeling pair of hunting boots I've ever tried on. I'll be wearing a pair of those this Spring. Where did ya find these at. i've been looking at the vaprtrek and jackals but wanted to try a pair of the steadfast danners before I bought anything. Woods and Water in Tuscaloosa. The Lacrosse/Danner rep had a pair there Saturday. They should be getting some in soon.

I've posted this before, but I bought a pair of the Irish Setter VaprTrek, last year. My feet would get wet, walking across a dew covered food plot. Irish Setter does not handle their warranty claims; you have to go thru where you purchased the boots. MPW gave me a refund. I really expected a better boot, and for Irish Setter, who is related to Vasque and Red Wing, to handle their own problems.

I'm hoping I can check out some of the steadfast ones soon. But I've heard that about the vaprtrek more than once. That's alotta money to spend to have wet feet

I wish Danner would make a pair of snake boots with a side zipper. I can't deal with all those laces everytime I take boots on and off.

I've got a pair of side-zipper Irish Setters snake boots I bought a few years ago that leak like a sieve but wear awesome; if snakes aren't a problem, I use Muck and/or Lacrosse insulated boots, depending on how cold it is.

They are currently making the Pronghorn in a side zip, and they are HIGH! I know Mack's Prairie Wings and Dungarees, have them, they are brown in color.

Anyone have any experience with Cabelas Boa Snake Boots ? Seems like a lot of $$$ or a boot made by Cabelas, but maybe I'm missing something I'm starting on my 3rd season I believe with mine and they have held up really well. I wear them a good bit during the summer also while trapping and fishing. They are definitely worth the money.

It says on the box that they are "guaranteed against defects in workmanship for the lifetime of the product" I interpret that to mean that if they ever start leaking just take them back to Cabela's. I don't see how you can beat that. I really like mine.

I think he went about 10 years with that "one" pair.
