I have no personal experience with SCCY, but a friend of mine gave it a bad review. Have you thought of this Beretta?

I've got 3 Glocks but I traded off my favorite model!
The G 23.
The G 19 is the same size so I suggest it.

I have a S&W Shield and love it. Good size for concealing and shoots well. But it really depends on what fits your hand and you like the best.

Consider a CZ 75 compact or a CZ 2075 Rami subcompact.

Too many people buy a name. Go HANDLE some guns and see what feels good in your budget. I don't care if it's a High Point or a Kimber if it doesn't fit you well and you aren't comfortable with it then you just have a pretty piece of steel. You won't shoot it well and it will be worthless in a SHTF scenario. I've often times left a gun store having spent more or less (most times less) than I intended on. And left with something completely different than I had in mind when I walked in the door. My encore was one such purchase. I went in hell bent on a browning bar or an abolt.

Do you buy shoes without trying them on just because it's what other people wear?

I carry and shoot the full size PX4 my son shoots and carries the compact.

Extremely accurate and dependable,

I did the 2000 round stress test (2000 rds thru it without really cleaning it etc) No jams ,No Failure to fires..no failure to ejects. It passed exceptionally well and still was blasting the 10 ring.

(ive cleaned it thouroughly now..but I had to see)

Got a 26 as well. I liked it over the S&W but buy what fits you best.

Yep. I love the CZs. I have a P-01, P-02 and a RAMI. After I went CZ, all of my Glocks and Smiths have lived in the safe. Plus, there's just something about the feel of an all metal firearm (not hating on the plastic fantastics...I have plenty of those too!). Get a nice CZ and have David Milam (Cajun Gunworks) work his magic on it. His work is not cheap, but It'll be one of the best shooting weapons you've ever held. If you have questions about the quality, look up the NATO tests that were done on the P-01. Pretty crazy!

I'm partial to my G19 but it really comes down to what you feel the most comfortable with.

I carry a Walther PPS in 9mm. Everyone who's shot it comments on how nice the trigger pull is and how accurate it is.

I had a p22 and it had the nicest handgun trigger I've ever felt.

Which one can you just grab, stuff in a pocket and go? There's assholes within a mile from your house. Don't get one that you have to "think" about where and how you'll carry. You may say to hell with it on a short trip. Get one you can grab and go. Big tits are nice, but you ever see how much effort it takes to stuff them puppies away? Men don't think that way. Get something you'll grab and go. That trip one mile away to get a beer may be a life-changer.

^^^this. I have a xd 40 that stays in my car but I've also got a Kel Tec 32 that is with me wherever I go. The 40 is just too big for every day carry buy that 32 fits in my pocket and I never think about it.

S&W Bodyguard 380 in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster ($320 total)

Fits perfect in front pocket and nobody will ever know its there.

I have several of the pistols already mentioned but none are as convenient to carry as the bodyguard. It's shoots plenty good enough to handle someone close enough to actually be a threat. If they are still standing after 7 rounds then I guess it's just my time.

You want it to go bang?

Buy the Glock.

It ain't as small/cool/new/whatever as the Shield?

Well....it going bang every time was a prerequisite, right?

My brother carries a shield and has never had it not go bang. Mom carries a sccy and loves it. Dad loves his full sized glock. I'm carrying a ruger sr9c and wouldn't trade it. Just remember as Stated above if you don't enjoy to shoot it and it isn't easy to carry then it's not for you.
