Biggest thing I have seen is kids that don't have good swing mechanics when they start school ball and have to start swinging a -3 bat. All the composites in the world won't make up for not learning how to swing the correct way. And yes as write we are waiting on another one of those 300 dollar bats to arrive. Snow has delayed it. There are some Easton's now going in the 550 range.
