The way I see it the equipment makes a huge difference. If any of you guys play golf or fish seriously you know what I am talking about. You can buy a clone titanium driver then compare it to a high dollar brand name driver and there is a difference in performance. The same with fishing rods and reels. Once they get to the BBCOR bats which is middle school through college the bat performance just is not there. I have seen kids hit the ball as far or further with a $50 Walmart BBCOR bat as they can with a $400 bat. Not the same with a -10 2 3/4" barrel bat those make a difference. I think you can take a BBCOR and beat it against a telephone pole and it will not make a difference. The Colleges have started using a new ball this year that does not have high seams on it so that the ball will travel further.
