Over 2" here now. Heavy wet snow to boot. If it keeps this up for 6-8 more hours we'll have 12" of snow here.

Didn't start in Scottsboro till about 2:15. It's been snowing hard right from the start and the ground was white in about 20 min. Prolly have 1 1/2 inches now, if it keeps this up all night, gonna be hub deep to a Toyota with Q buckshots.

Just now spitting snow in the Shoals. Getting ready for the big one????? Been snowing about an hour here and we now have about 2" on the ground and coming straight down.

Bout 3 inchs in etowah county . Where out in the toyota 4x4 having a ball!!! Fixing to hook - up a plastic sled and go down the rode!! When it gets dark = where going to break out the moonshine and the flat bottom boat!!!!  We would all like to see the X-rays tomorrow..  Taking it easy right now. All the neighbor hood kids are here with my daughter. Where pulling plastic sleds and inflatable tires right now with Toyota 4x4 and a Friends Polaris Ranger. WE WANT start the ADULT fun till 2 nite!!!!

I like a big snow like we have now to play in and look at for a few days, but i promise as soon as it's gone I'm going to be ready for spring/summer and some fishing down your way.

Everybody have fun but be safe too. Lots of kids get injured in these fun times if not careful. I saw yesterday on the news they were saying to put bike helmets on the kids.

According to my amateur radar watching the snow line has shifted dramatically southward over the last hour or so after moving slightly north since about 2. There's still hope for snow in ttown/bham I think. Don't get comfy yet cause that snow line looks like its gonna wrap us all in (i-20 corridor) pretty soon with the temps going down for the evening and it will be there in the morning if it does fall.
