Injector isn't going to make it die going down the interstate. Does it die like a hammer or lose power down to engine shutting down. Sounds electrical to me.

I stopped by Tree Hangers house on my way home and no problems. Went to leave and it wouldn't crank. Popped the hood and stood there and talked for a few minutes and just looked around. After a few minutes I tried and it fired right up.

When it dies going down the road it just quits. No losing power until it turns off, it just goes. It threw P0335 (crankshaft sensor) when that happened, but I didn't think anything of it because after a few tries of it not cranking it will give the same code. But once it cranks twice the service engine light goes off.

And BPS thanks for the info. I will try the bucket trick if it continues so I can try and isolate it.

Could be the water sensor at the bottom of the filter is leaking. Or the little o ring on the bleeder valve on top. This was the case for mine. With it dying while the truck is running down the interstate would make me think its the filter getting clogged or closing off and after it sits for a while it is releasing back out.

If you getting bubbles when you prime your getting air in the system from filter back to tank . First thing is ck your filter o rings make sure there not cut or kinked.
Ck filter while it's off for trash If all that ck good reassemble get some one to help you apply you and apply air to fuel tank not a lot you don't want to blow tank up .
While air is being applied kc feed lines from tank for leaks . There two other hoses that need to be ck feed hose by steering shaft and one by trans have had problems with them collapsing and starving for fuel .
Could have two different problem since you gettin ckp sensor code .
Ck wiring to sensor they will pull from connector at times

This thing is crazy. Ran up on Julio earlier and it wouldn't crank. I was gonna test juice coming into relays but my probes on my meter leads were to big. swapped 2 relays and it fired right up.

He's already put a new filter housing on it so I gotta lean electrical since it just cuts off. Guess he's gonna get a crank sensor and put in it. Gonna be a tight squeeze up in there. Took the inner wheel well off on passenger side and look like if he takes the tire off he'll be able to get to it.

My only question about it is that stupid fuel pump. Will it leak down to where you can pump it once or twice between starts or should it stay completely pumped up?

By him saying when he primed it air bubbles would come out I would suspect a cracked feed hose . High pressure pump works like a vacuum to pull fuel from tank . The lb7 did have some injector problem but most of the time you would be getting fuel in oil .
Here is a link to ckp replace https://gsi.ext.gm.com/gsi/showDoc.do?la...llSyskey=937300
. Make sure to ck wire from connector back 6in or so

Mine was doing the same thing exactly and it was the fuel pump. But it's a Cummins.
