This country was not founded on biblical principles and they have no need in shaping our political decisions and direction. At all. Take a civics class before any more of you argue on biblical grounds.
If 100 years from now the entire country believes in Zoroastrianism instead of Christianity that's OK, because our founding fathers framed our constitution in a way to accept eventual change that they could not predict. They were smart enough to know that they had no idea where this country would be 100, 200, 300 years after they wrote the document.
Our founding fathers were all Christians, no doubt, but they did not intend on this being a country ruled on biblical grounds. It's way too easy to twist and mold political reform under the guise of religious justification.
But they did expect America to be a Christian based and oriented country - and a moral one based on traditional moral values found in Scripture. And that is a fact.
