I would like to make one thing clear, I am against homosexuality. I do not condone it, and I have told several homosexuals I know that as a Christian, I can not condone their sin, but, that I will not condemn them. I do not support homosexual marriage and if I was a judge I would not preside over one. There are a lot of things I don't agree with personally. Some of those things are perfectly legal. I understand the reasoning behind rulings like this and I have studied the constitution more than most people on this site and I am not relying on what I heard on talk radio or at church or from a buddy as to what the constitution is or what it says. Saying that doesn't mean that I do not take those conversations or things that I hear into consideration, but, I place them against over 200 years of constitutional law from our court. Under our system, it is the courts duty to decide if something is constitutional. Many times over the course of our country, the courts have been forced to make determinations as to the constitutionality of a law, despite it being overwhelmingly popular. Because, when it comes to the law, the majority does not always rule. The laws of this country are suppose to be blind to prejudice. It is not condoning a behavior to say that it is wrong for the state to outlaw something for one group that is legal for another group.
