Nothing wrong with calling them "queers". The definition of the word "queer" is to be "unnatural". The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is unnatural (Romans 1:26-27). If it offends a person to be called a queer then they need to look inside themselves and ask why they are offended. It could be that they know deep inside it is wrong. I don't hate them for being queer. To use the old adage, "Love the sinner, hate the sin". My nephew is queer as well as a friend I've had as long as I have been alive. It tears me up that they live that lifestyle. It also tears me up that many people who claim to be christians run around on their spouses, abuse their children, lie cheat and steal. I'm far from perfect myself, but I try to live a lifestyle in accordance with what Jesus has laid out for us. I fail miserably but thankfully I am forgiven. Homosexuality is a forgiveable sin just like any other sin. A person has to ask for it though. They have to repent, which means to turn away from. A homosexual can't ask for forgiveness when they don't mean it and know they have no intnetion to discontinue living the life they are. Just like a person that lies, cheats and steals won't be forgiven when they have no intention/desire to change their ways. I can see where doekiller is coming from when he says that straight people can't have more rights than gays. I see where he is coming from but I don't agree with him. Doekiller, I've never met you in person but I know for a fact that if we got into a debate about pretty much anything, you'd beat me hands down. You are an intelligent, well educated person. I'm afraid your views though, have been clouded as well as many other believers that area going along with all of this. Straycat told me something over lunch (imagine that... us eating
) that has stuck with me ever since. You can't keep your christianity in a box and only pull it out on Sundays or when it's appropriate. Christianity is something that has to be a part of your everyday life. Every aspect of it. What you have learned about how society "should be", I'm sorry is wrong. We may not always be able to explain why things are the way they are but we just have to follow God's word and trust it whether or not we can fully explain why something is the way it is. Proverbs 14:12- "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in its end is the way to death."
