And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
I agree that people, Christians too, can be very selective in what we acknowledge as wrong. Some like to drink but gloss over it to point out someone else's sin. That's why God tells us to do all things out of love. If we first love others then we will be quick to help and slow to condemn.

If you read the rest of that chapter and on into the next chapter, you will see that Paul's entire message is that only God can judge people's sin. Our place is to love others and show them Gods goodness.
