13 pages in and we're still arguing this. If a new thread opened up tomorrow about same sex marriage (which will probably happen) we'll go another 13 pages with the same round and round posts.
As with almost all controversial social issues nowadays, it all comes down to one's view of the Bible and how literal, how absolute he interprets it. Almost all of a person's views and beliefs and actions will proceed from the literal/metaphorical/not-at-all Biblical interpretation debate. Is the Bible God's unerring, unfailing, 100% inspired, completely literal word and command to us or not? That's the key to everyone's view.
